01The program
- Is it a tribute act?
It is an interpretation. The distinction is explained on the About page.
- Why is there no guitarist?
The guitar parts are present. They are prepared.
- Why is there no drummer?
Please see the program note Why the rhythm section is prepared.
- Is “Deacon Blues” performed?
It is not performed by request.
- Are requests taken?
The program is fixed. It is published in advance on the program page so that it need not be requested.
- Why do the songs sound lower than the records?
They are a whole step lower. Please see the transposition disclosure.
- Is there an encore?
There is not. The program is complete when it ends.
- Is there a support act?
No. Each engagement is a complete program. The program does not engage a support act and is not presented as one.
- May the performance be recorded?
Please do not record the performance. The printed program is provided so that there is something to take home.
02Engagements
- Where should I sit?
Anywhere in the room. Seats adjacent to an exterior door are not recommended.
- Would the program share an evening with another performer?
The program is presented complete. Please see clause 11 of the technical rider.
- Is a deposit required?
No deposit is requested for any engagement, and none should be paid to anyone on the program’s behalf.
- How are inquiries answered?
In writing, on weekdays, usually within two business days, from [email protected].
03The name, and other matters
- Where does the name come from?
It has a literary origin, readily found, which need not be repeated here.
- Is this site affiliated with similarly named sites?
It is not. Please type the address carefully.
- Does Martin Bexler take part in online discussion?
He does not.
- Does Dr. Bexler discuss his performance work with patients?
He does not.
- Is there a recording available?
There is not. The prepared parts are not finished works, and the program is intended to be heard in a room.
